Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Racket Captain application, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Racket Captain's service for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• Modifying or copying the materials
• Using the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Attempting to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Racket Captain
• Removing any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
• Transferring the materials to another person or "mirroring" the materials on any other server

3. Disclaimer

The materials on Racket Captain's service are provided on an 'as is' basis. Racket Captain makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

4. Limitations

In no event shall Racket Captain or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Racket Captain's service.

5. Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on Racket Captain's service could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Racket Captain does not warrant that any of the materials on the service are accurate, complete, or current.

6. Links

Racket Captain has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Racket Captain of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

7. Modifications

Racket Captain may revise these terms of service for the service at any time without notice. By using this service, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Racket Captain operates, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

9. Messaging and Chat Content

Racket Captain includes in-app messaging ("Chats") — group, broadcast, and direct messages — and any text, images, or other attachments you post in them ("Chat Content").

Chat Content is provided as a convenience and is not a system of record or a backup service. We do not guarantee that Chat Content will be stored or remain available for any particular length of time, and it may expire, be deleted, or become unavailable at any time. We currently intend to retain Chat Content for up to approximately 30 days, but we may set, change, or remove retention periods, and change how, when, and whether Chat Content is stored or deleted, at any time, for any reason, in our sole discretion, and without notice.

You are solely responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you wish to preserve. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Racket Captain and its owners, operators, and affiliates are not liable for — and you waive and release any claim arising from or relating to — the retention, retention period, storage, availability, deletion, expiration, loss, or inaccessibility of any Chat Content, for any reason.

10. Member Data Sharing Within Your Groups

Racket Captain is a group-play organization service: playing with others requires that they can identify you, reach you, and see how play went.

By joining a Match Group — whether by accepting an invitation, requesting to join, or being added by a captain — you give your express approval for Racket Captain to share your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and your event participation and results with:

• the captain, co-captains, and members of that Match Group; and
• where the group is hosted at a claimed venue, the venue's verified owner and the members of that venue's Match Groups who take part in shared venue communications.

This sharing is what makes rosters, schedules, court assignments, standings, chats, and member profile pages work. It happens inside the Racket Captain service; we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

If you do not want this information shared with a group's members, do not join that group. Leaving a group ends the forward sharing of your contact information through it; event results and history already recorded remain part of the group's records.
